We make the future.

With a new Government elected, this is our chance to win real change on our issues. To do it, we'll need boots on the ground and communities uniting to hold decision-makers to account. Give taking action a go by RSVPing to an upcoming event using the map below.

By signing up to attend an event, you're agreeing to GetUp's Policy Manual.

What to expect at a GetUp event?

Attending your first event with a new group of people can be nerve-wracking! But you’ll be supported every step of the way, and our hope is that you walk away with a smile on your face and some new friends.

Here’s what to expect at your first GetUp event:

1. Hello!

If you arrive a few minutes early, a friendly volunteer facilitator or leader will greet you, ask you to sign an attendance form and get to know you a little.

2. Meet the team

You’ll often be asked to spend a few minutes for everybody to introduce themselves

3. Briefing

At actions, your facilitator will then explain how the event will run, set some norms and deliver any training you need

4. Action!

Whether it’s a calling party or a stunt, taking action is often easier than you think. You can always ask the facilitator or other friendly volunteers for help if you need it.

5. Debrief

Share your experience, learnings and wins at a group debrief.
